EV Experience 2025: new Lexus ES puts focus on comfort

October 3, 2025

New Lexus ES to arrive in spring 2026

European sales of the new generation Lexus ES will start in spring 2026. So the fact that you can already see the car during the EV Experience is pretty special. The 5,140 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,555 mm high ES has a hefty wheelbase of 2,950 mm. It comes in two BEV flavors: the ES 350e with 77 kWh and as the ES 500e with 75 kWh.

ES 350e and ES 500e

The ES 350e has front-wheel drive and an output of 165 kW (224 hp), while the ES 500e with all-wheel drive offers an output of 252 kW (343 hp). Know that the ES 500e is equipped with Direct4 intelligent electric all-wheel drive. This provides continuous distribution of drive torque to all four wheels. This can vary from 100:0 to 0:100. Lexus anticipates an electric range of up to 530 kilometers (WLTP mixed cycle) and a charging time of about 30 minutes with DC charging up to 80%.

Comfortable interior

The interior of the car is in no way comparable to familiar Lexus models. The Japanese are taking a completely different tack, with the Lexus logo on the steering wheel giving way to written-out Lexus letters and a giant touchscreen flaunting in the center of the dashboard. The car has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14-inch LexusConnect multimedia system. The front seats of the new ES have been redesigned to help the driver adopt a comfortable posture. So focus on comfort, with this new ES.
