End of era for Audi A1 and Audi Q2

February 2, 2026

Audi A1 and Audi Q2 successful in the Netherlands

For years, the Audi A1 and Audi Q2 have made their mark on Dutch Audi sales. The Audi A1 debuted in our country in 2010 and over 28,000 units of the compact hatchback were sold in fifteen years. In 2016, the Audi Q2 – as an alternative to the Volkswagen T-Roc – made its appearance in our country. Over a nine-year period, the practical SUV found nearly 10,000 owners here. The final curtain is now falling on both compact models. The models have not been available to order new since late January.

There is still stock

Thanks to the – according to Audi – ample supply of stock models, a new A1 or Q2 is sure to be found for the foreseeable future. Audi calls on interested parties to use the online configurator to find an ideal car from stock.

What will the future bring?

No, no successors to the Audi A1 and Audi Q2 are ready yet. Nevertheless, Audi still remains active in the B-segment. An electric Audi A2 is being worked on behind the scenes, but an introduction date is not yet known.
