Electric hot hatch: this is what the Volkswagen ID.3 costs GTX Performance

August 16, 2024

Nice rap

There it is: the “GTI” of the ID.3 family!
Volkswagen is leaving the name GTI in the closet for a while for their electric models, and so they are coming up with the GTX label.
With a 240 kW (326 hp) strong electric motor driving the rear wheels, the ID.3
GTX Performance is not a kitten to be handled without gloves.
It shoots from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds.
Its top speed is 200 km/h.
Thanks to a 79 kWh battery, it has a considerable range: 595 kilometers.
At a fast charger, it can handle 185 kW of charging power.
In half an hour you charge it back up to 80%.

Undercarriage

With a low center of gravity and balanced suspension, the car feels agile and stable, according to the German brand.
The suspension is sport-tuned, complete with multilink rear axle and large alloy wheels.
The Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) lets you control how the car responds, whether you want to drive sportily or prefer a more comfortable ride.

Sporty design

The sporty ID.3 is dressed up with all the fun stuff Volkswagen has to offer.
Black 20-inch rims, a sporty bumper and LED matrix lighting are standard, as are luxury sport seats and a sleekly finished interior, with red stitching and other sporty GTX accents.

What does the ID.3
GTX Performance?

Volkswagen is asking 51,990 euros for their first electric hot hatch.
First deliveries will begin in September.
