Dacia refreshes Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger
Three pillars of Dacia success
The Dacia Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Jogger are the heart of the brand in Europe. The Sandero has been the best-selling car among private customers since 2017 and was even the most popular car in Europe across all sales channels by 2024, with 309,392 registrations. About two-thirds of these were for the Stepway version. The Dacia Jogger is the second best-selling car in the European C-segment (excluding SUVs), with 96,440 units sold.
To continue this success, Dacia is equipping the models with a series of improvements that further enhance everyday convenience and appeal.
New exterior design
The updated models now bear a recognizable LED light signature in the form of an inverted “T. This visually flows into the new grille via a fine line of white pixels. The rear lights feature a similar pixel structure, giving each model its own character.
The Jogger stands out with vertical taillights that continue into the rear window, while the Sandero Stepway gets an additional black strip between the lamps. Both models get new plastic protective parts made of Starkle, a recycled material that Dacia first applied to the new Duster. Starkle consists of 20 percent recycled plastic and is not painted, which reduces environmental impact and increases scratch resistance.
New hubcaps and alloy wheels enhance the fresh look. The color Amber Yellow debuts on the Sandero and Sandero Stepway, while Sandstone is now also available on the Sandero and Jogger.

Refurbished interior
Inside, subtle but obvious changes have been made. The air vents follow the same inverted “T” shape as the headlights. Finishes vary by trim: blue textile in the Expression, blue denim in the Journey, and washable microcloud trim in green and black in the Extreme. The dashboard and door panels are covered in more durable fabrics. The ergonomics of the steering wheel have been improved and the Hybrid 155 and Eco-G 120 automatic versions are equipped with an E-Shifter and shift paddles.
YouClip system expanded
The modular YouClip system remains a feature of Dacia. It allows accessories to be securely clicked into strategic locations in the interior. The Sandero and Stepway now have an additional attachment point on the inside of the tailgate, while the Jogger adds one in the luggage compartment. New to the accessory offerings are an eyeglass case and a folding shopping bag.

Enhanced connectivity
The multimedia system has been updated on all levels.
- Media Control (standard on Essential) works through the Dacia Media Control app, operated by steering wheel buttons and a smartphone holder on the dashboard.
- Media Display (from Expression) features a new 10-inch HD touchscreen with wireless integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Media Nav Live (standard on Jogger Journey) offers connected navigation with real-time traffic information, eight years of free map updates and an Arkamys 3D Sound System.
New comfort and safety features
For the first time, a wireless induction charger is available, standard on the Jogger Journey and Extreme. In addition, Dacia is introducing the Driving Pack, with three new features:
- automatic high beam
- multiview camera with bird’s eye view
- electric folding door mirrors
The models meet the latest European safety standards with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking assistance with detection of vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists and motorcycles, as well as fatigue recognition. The new “My Safety” button allows drivers to quickly select their preferred settings for these systems.
New powertrains for Dacia
The Hybrid 155 makes its appearance in the Jogger and later in the Sandero Stepway. This powertrain combines a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with two electric motors and a 1.4 kWh battery. The system output is 114 kW (155 hp) with 170 Nm of torque. The car drives electric up to 80 percent of the time in city traffic and always starts in EV mode.
The Eco-G 120 is the new LPG variant with a 1.2-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine. Power increases to 88 kW (120 hp) and an automatic transmission is available for the first time. The LPG tanks have been enlarged, which increases the range in LPG mode by 20 percent – up to 1,590 km combined range in the Sandero.
In addition, the Sandero gets an upgraded TCe 100 gasoline engine with 73 kW (100 hp), mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The Stepway and Jogger also remain available with the TCe 110, while the Sandero gets in with the SCe 65.
