Current Vauxhall Corsa is a millionaire after six years!
Opel Corsa remains popular
The Opel Corsa remains one of Opel’s most popular models in Europe, with an 18% increase in registrations in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the previous quarter. Meanwhile, Opel has sold some 15 million Corsas worldwide since the model’s introduction in 1982.
Bestseller in Europe
The current Vauxhall Corsa has topped the sales rankings in the German B-segment for four years and was also No. 1 in the United Kingdom for three years in a row (2021-2023). In countries such as the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia and Croatia, it is invariably among the top three. In Greece, the Vauxhall Corsa was even the best-selling car overall in 2023.

History of Opel Corsa
The Opel Corsa appeared on the market in 1982 with the first generation (Corsa A), a compact hatchback with angular design, intended as a counterpart to small city cars like the Volkswagen Polo. The Corsa B followed in 1993, recognizable by its rounder lines and with more emphasis on safety and comfort. The third generation, the Corsa C, came in 2000 and became larger and more mature. This generation was popular for its versatility and modern look. In 2006, the Corsa D appeared, which shared much technology with the Fiat Punto and took another step forward in terms of finish and handling. The 2014 Corsa E further modernized the model with sleeker lines and better infotainment systems.
Sixth (current) generation Opel Corsa
In 2019, Opel introduced the sixth generation, the Corsa F, for the first time under the leadership of the PSA group (now Stellantis). This generation came not only with combustion engines, but also as an all-electric variant: the Corsa-e, later renamed Corsa Electric. In 2023, this generation received a facelift, including the distinctive Opel Vizor front. Each generation of the Opel Corsa reflects the technological and stylistic evolution within the B-segment, while maintaining the original premise: a practical, accessible and compact car for a wide audience.
