February 13, 2025

Kia EV2

The Kia EV2 will be a compact electric car. It complements Kia’s range, consisting of the EV3, EV6 and EV9. To that will be added an EV4 and EV5, by the way. Those models are also almost ready for production. In addition, Kia is coming out with a PV5: an electric van.

Kia EV Day 2025

By the way, Kia kicks off by presenting the Kia Concept EV2: equipped with the brand’s very latest electric platform technology. It is not a copy of the Hyundai Inster, but more like a hot-washed EV3. Slightly smaller, in other words. The unveiling of the model will take place on February 27 during the Kia EV Day. The public will also get to see the EV4 and PV5 then.

Kia EV4

The new Kia EV4 concerns an electric four-door sedan that symbolizes innovation. The sleek low nose, elongated, dynamic silhouette and technical roof spoiler are features reminiscent of sports and racing cars, according to Kia. The car also gets different driving modes, such as a Perform mode. In the latter, the driver is shown all the information he needs to perform optimally. The “Serenity” mode, on the other hand, offers a series of digital graphics to create a more relaxed atmosphere for reflection and relaxation.

Kia EV5

The Kia EV5 will be available in several trims. European specifications will be announced at a later stage. For the Chinese market, the standard model will be equipped with a 64 kWh battery pack and a 160 kW (218 hp) engine. The long range model, with an 88 kWh battery pack, will have the same 160 kW (218 hp) engine. The AWD version will have an 88 kWh battery pack and a combined output of 230 kW (313 hp) in China, with a 160 kW (218 hp) engine on the front wheels and a 70 kW (95 hp) engine on the rear wheels. The EV5’s battery is designed to function effectively through all four seasons, even in extremely hot and cold weather.

The heat pump system familiar from the EV6 is also provided in the EV5 to manage battery temperature, ensuring consistent performance regardless of external conditions. The EV5 will also be equipped with a regenerative braking system and i-Pedal, allowing drivers to both decelerate and accelerate with a single pedal. The EV5 will also be available as a GT, more information on which will be released at a later date.
