Buying tip: a special Porsche 911 you didn’t know yet!
Porsche successful in the Le Mans
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is one of the most prestigious car races in the world, where teams race for 24 hours non-stop on a combination of public roads and a race track in Le Mans, France. Porsche has had many successes at Le Mans over the years. Since Porsche first participated in the race in 1951, the brand has won a total of 19 victories. The most recent was in 2017 with the Porsche 919 Hybrid. The 911 Carrera S Racing Endurance Edition – based on 911-generation 991.2 – was designed with a nod to the 2016 edition of Le Mans. The color scheme is inspired by Porsche’s LMP1 racer.
Performance
The Endurance Racing Edition is based on the 911 Carrera S. The 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder boxer engine produces 420 hp and has 500 Nm of torque. Top speed is 308 km/h and 0-100 time takes less than four seconds when combined with a manual transmission. Typical features of the Porsche 911 Endurance Racing Edition include a tightened suspension and a lightweight titanium exhaust system.
