Budget brand Royal Enfield does good business

Royal Enfield’s production numbers are considerable. Some 600,000 motorcycles have rolled off the assembly line at the factories in India. That is where the production of the originally British brand has been concentrated since 1955. Beginning in the early 1900s in the British town of Reddich, the company tied up with Madras Motors in 1955 to set up “Enfield India. Soon the shovel went into the ground to build a dedicated factory in Tiruvottiyur, near Madras.

Royal Enfield Bullit

The Royal Enfield Bullit has been the sole and premier model for export for decades in the last century. The bike has a classic design, much like the Classic 350 pictured above. That design and its affordability attracted buyers looking for an easy-to-ride motorcycle with an original look.

Model range expanded

However, the target market was not large and consisted mainly of older buyers. In recent years, Royal Enfield has greatly expanded the number of models. These do share classic features in appearance, but with a modern twist and the advent of electronic driving aids and a modern digital instrument cluster. Notable in this regard, for example, is the Royal Enfield Guerilla.

Himalayan 411

With the Himalayan 411, the brand tapped into the adventure bike segment. From the outset, this bike attracted interest from adventurers who liked the challenge of long trips through inhospitable areas. This machine did this just fine and also reliably, because in terms of quality the brand has also made considerable progress in recent years.

Royal Enfield Classic 350

With timeless retro design and modern technology, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been the best-selling model for many years. The 20.2 hp air-oil-cooled single-cylinder runs smooth and refined with a characteristic engine sound. The solid chassis combined with the comfortable seating position, provide great confidence and riding pleasure.

Google Maps navigation

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 features ABS, full LED lighting, a USB-C charging port and an analog-digital display with gear indicator. In addition, the top-of-the-line version has Google Maps navigation via the Tripper Pod.

Windshield and case set

You can also browse through numerous accessories to literally customize the bike to your liking. For example, various saddles, backrests, footrests, mirrors and fog lights are available. For maximum travel comfort, a Touring windshield and aluminum case set are also available for the Classic 350.

The Classic 350 comes from €6,549 (Madras Red), €6,699 (Medallion Brown) and €6,799 (Emerald Green).
