BREAKING: Carlos Tavares left immediately at Stellantis

New CEO

The process to appoint the new permanent Chief Executive Officer is underway. This appointment process is being managed by a special committee of the Board of Directors and will be completed in the first half of 2025. Until then, a new Interim Executive Committee, chaired by John Elkann, will determine what happens.

Different viewpoints

Henri de Castries, Senior Independent Director of Stellantis, noted: “The success of Stellantis since its inception has been rooted in a perfect alignment between the reference shareholders, the Board of Directors and the CEO. In recent weeks, however, different viewpoints have emerged that have led the Board of Directors and the CEO to reach the decision.”
