BMW gives Valentino Rossi 92 M4s for his birthday
Gift
Always wanted to meet Valentino Rossi? Or even better, always wanted to be given a tour of Valentino Rossi’s home by Valentino Rossi himself? Then buy a BMW M4 CS Edition VR46, because then you automatically get to visit the fast Italian’s home. You’ll even get to barbecue there. Then you get to bang your car around for a few laps at Misano, where Rossi has won several GT races.

Italian DNA in a Bavarian body
The BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is a tribute to one of the greatest racers of all time. Rossi’s trademark “46” can be found everywhere – on the doors, roof and even in the interior. M Carbon bucket seats, Merino leather and Alcantara details complete the look. Even the steering wheel has yellow 12-hour markings.

Sports or Style
BMW didn’t just slap some stickers on an M4 CS – no, Rossi himself was involved in the design. There are two versions: Sport and Style. The first comes in Marina Bay Blue metallic with a large number ’46’ in Tanzanite Blue on the side, while the second comes in matte Frozen Tanzanite Blue with a Marina Bay Blue ’46’. Both get yellow accents in homage to Rossi’s famous livery. Even the valve position on the rims gets a yellow marking – just like in racing.

550 hp
The special M4 CS is no show pony. Under the hood is a 3.0-liter six-in-line, good for 405 kW (550 hp). Has all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission, allowing the M4 to sprint to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 11.1 seconds. Top speed is capped at 302 km/h. Nice and smooth, in other words. The sport exhaust system features a titanium end muffler and black exhaust pipes.

A collector’s item
With only 92 examples worldwide, the BMW M4 CS Edition VR46 is quite rare. The Netherlands can count on two units. The price? A hefty 267,441 euros. But then you get to barbecue with Valentino Rossi.
