A notable winner

Polestar has revealed the winner of the 2024 Design Contest, and let’s just say: the result is otherworldly. The Polestar TRX balances somewhere between a futuristic monster truck and a UFO. Next to this design, the Tesla Cybertruck suddenly looks pretty ordinary.

Hot Wheels

The winning design, created by Indian designer Shashank Shekhar, uniquely manages to combine Polestar’s clean lines with Hot Wheels’ playful energy, according to the judges. The Polestar TRX will be the first Polestar design to make an appearance in the Hot Wheels collection. This will not only give this scale model a stage, but also a place in the showcases of collectors worldwide.

More striking designs

In addition to the Polestar TRX, Italian Powei Chen’s colorful ‘Cyber Shaker’ also managed to impress, a cyberpunk-like creation that took second prize. Roman Moor’s Le Mans-inspired ‘Polestar Track Toy’ received an honorable mention. Polestar’s design team personally mentored the finalists.

On sale from summer 2025

With more than 1,200 entries, the Polestar Design Contest 2024 was a great success. The winning model, the Polestar TRX, will go into production in 1:64 scale. As mentioned, you will be able to bring this special piece of creativity into your own home starting in the summer of 2025.
