Aston Martin Vanquish is back, and how!
History of the Aston Martin Vanquish
First introduced in 2001, the Vanquish made an immediate impression as Aston Martin’s flagship car.
The model combined the brand’s classic lines with progressive design and innovative technologies.
The original Vanquish featured a V12 engine and an aluminum chassis, a combination that was already ahead of its time at the time.
The car became famous for its appearance in the James Bond film Die Another Day, further cementing its status as an iconic sports car.
In 2012, the Vanquish returned with a completely updated design.
The second generation offered enhanced performance and luxury while remaining true to Aston Martin’s philosophy of fusing elegance, power and a refined driving experience.
Although production of the second-generation Vanquish ceased in 2018, the name remained synonymous with the ultimate expression of Aston Martin’s engineering and design.
Now the model name returns, and how!
New dimension for Aston Martin
Aston Martin’s Director of Vehicle Performance, Simon Newton, says: “The Vanquish adds a new dimension to the updated Aston Martin range. The new V12 engine has life-giving character, with huge torque just above idle. It is truly an extraordinary engine. This feeling of unprecedented power had to be accompanied by an equal level of control and finesse; something we achieved through the huge bandwidth of the new Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers, an e-diff and the latest generation of electronics. We also worked closely with Pirelli in the development of a bespoke tire specifically for Vanquish.”
Extended chassis
The new chassis of the Aston Martin Vanquish features a wheelbase increased by 80 mm compared to previous models, contributing to improved stability and ride comfort.
This is an important development, as Aston Martin is not only aiming for pure performance with the new Vanquish, but also to offer an unprecedented combination of comfort and dynamics.
Exceptional driver’s car
The car is equipped with Bilstein DTX dampers and an electronic rear differential (e-diff) for optimum grip and driving precision.
The 21-inch Pirelli P Zero tires developed especially for Aston Martin contribute to the Vanquish’s sporty handling.
According to Aston Martin, these technical marvels make the Vanquish an exceptional driver’s car that holds its own both on the track and on public roads.
Superb interior
The interior of the new Vanquish offers a combination of modern luxury and advanced technology.
A prominent feature is the full-length panoramic glass roof, which provides a spacious and light feeling.
The interior is further equipped with a custom infotainment system very similar to the one in the Vantage.
Small details
Aston Martin has paid close attention to detail, with high-quality materials and precise workmanship that truly set the Vanquish apart from its competitors.
Every aspect of the interior has been designed to offer occupants a sense of exclusivity and comfort, which is in keeping with the expectations of a car in this segment and price tag.
Production limited
Production of the new Vanquish is limited to fewer than 1,000 units per year, ensuring the exclusivity of this model.
First deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of 2024.
The new Vanquish is not only a tribute to the past, but also a clear indication of Aston Martin’s future.
