Ariel E-Nomad goes into production in 2026!
Powertrain electric Ariel Nomad
The Ariel E-Nomad weighs only 896 kilograms and uses a 41 kWh 450-volt battery that powers a 210 kW (281 hp) and 490 Nm electric motor.
This electric motor is built into the transmission module.
The vehicle’s range comes out to 240 kilometers and the sprint from 0 to 96 is 3.4 seconds.
The car has rear-wheel drive.
The battery consists of twelve Pegasus V3 modules that together weigh less than 300 kilograms.
Charging Ariel Nomad E-Nomad
The battery pack of the Ariel Nomad E-Nomad is located behind the driver/passenger partition and can charge via AC (Type 2) and DC (CCS2).
This allows the E-Nomad to be charged from 20% to 80% in less than 25 minutes at home via a normal household outlet or via a dedicated fast charger.
Riding modes
The E-Nomad is equipped with Ariel’s new ABS system, with driver-selectable on- and off-road modes.
The car also has a regenerative braking system, which returns energy to the battery times coasting and braking.
Two driving modes are available: ECO and Sport.
Sport mode provides full power and performance, while ECO reduces power and torque with different throttle and regeneration characteristics, for greater driving range.
Feedback
Simon Saunders, director of Ariel, said, “Although the E-Nomad is a concept, we do have serious production plans for this car. Once the car has passed our usual grueling testing regime, we may choose to add the E-Nomad to the lineup. We greatly value customer feedback for this concept car.”
