ABT will also ‘pimp’ street models of Cupra
Cupra Leon ABT and Cupra Formentor ABT
When are you going to see some of the marriage between Cupra and ABT? Sooner than you think! As early as 2026, the Cupra Leon and Cupra Formentor will get special versions developed in collaboration with ABT. Both models will feature design modifications. These include a modified roof spoiler, a splitter on both the front and rear, side skirts, a diffuser and other aerodynamic additions. The models will also be fitted with 21-inch rims designed specifically for these versions by ABT. Engine modifications remain out.
Also Cupra Raval ABT
In addition to these projects, the two parties are looking ahead to future joint initiatives, including the Cupra Raval, an all-electric city car that will appear on the market in the next few years.
Sven Schuwirth, Executive Vice-President Sales and Marketing of Cupra, says: “The cooperation between Cupra and ABT has produced iconic vehicles and this step is a logical continuation of previous joint projects. For example, we already worked together on the Cupra Formentor VZ5 BAT x ABT and participated together in racing series such as Extreme E and Formula E. The experience gained in racing environments is now being translated into models for everyday use.”

The expansion of the cooperation between Cupra and ABT was announced at ABT’s headquarters in Kempten. ABT Sportsline traces its roots back to 1896, when Johann Abt started a blacksmith and wheelwright shop in Kempten, Germany. In the 1960s, his grandson, Johann Abt, began racing and tuning cars.
