For the Porsche 911, Panamera, Taycan Sport Limousine and Cayenne Coupe, it is about 140 kilograms. In all cases, the maximum speed with roof tent mounted is 130 km/h.

Porsche’s rooftop tent was designed at the Weissach design center. The hard shell case is available in black/light gray or black/dark gray color combinations. The all-season tent consists of a breathable cotton blend, waterproof zippers and an additional rain cover for the entry hatch. The side walls are a special eye-catcher. They reference the 911’s legendary flyline and are also printed with the inscription “PORSCHE. A comfortable polyfoam mattress is included.

How does the rooftop tent work?

The Porsche roof tent attaches to the basic roof rack system before travel and can be additionally secured with the anti-theft device. At the vacation destination, it can then be set up in a few easy steps. After opening the two lockable safety loops, the hard shell case is lifted slightly and – supported by 2 gas springs – unfolded. Then the subfloor foot section can be unfolded and stabilized using the integrated telescopic ladder. Then the already unfolded tent only needs to be shaped and tensioned with 4 spring bars.
