1,000 units of this EV sports car are coming to Europe

January 26, 2026

The SC01 was developed by Tianjin Gongjiangpai Auto Technology, with financial support from Xiaomi. Production is done in cooperation with JMEV. A separate track is now being launched for Europe, focusing on homologation, validation and industrialization.

Lightweight EV with serious performance

Where many electric sports models creep toward 2,000 kilograms, the SC01 remains remarkably light, weighing less than 1,400 kilograms. This bears fruit. Thanks to two electric motors – one per axle – the car boasts 320 kW (429 hp) and 560 Nm of torque. The sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 2.9 seconds and the top speed is limited to 200 km/h. Energy comes to the model in China from a 60 kWh NMC battery from CALB. The stated driving range is 520 kilometers according to the CLTC cycle. Fast charging is smooth: 30 to 80 percent in less than 25 minutes. European data are not yet known.

Back to the core of driving

The positioning of the SC01 is clear. “This project was designed with the goal of restoring the direct relationship between driver, machine and technology. No excess of assistance systems or large infotainment screens, but a minimalist interior with physical buttons and a functional layout. This philosophy is also evident under the skin. The SC01 uses a tubular steel frame, horizontal pushrod shock absorbers and powerful brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. The result is a two-seat roadster with compact dimensions and a clear focus on balance and control,” said the manufacturer.

Design with functional inspiration

SC01 continues, “The design came about from a continuous dialogue with modern supercars, but also with the world of military aviation. Not as a style reference, but as a frame of thought in which function is leading to form. Efficiency, precision and action form the basis of the design, without visual trappings.”

European rollout in phases

In the coming months, participating media will receive exclusive updates on the further development of the SC01 for Europe. These will include technical refinements, test programs and preparations for market launch. First driving impressions may also follow at a later stage, once the reservation and sales process officially begins.

1,000 copies

With a production run of only 1,000 units for Europe, the SC01 emphatically profiles itself as a niche model for enthusiasts who value lightweight engineering and driving experience. A starting price has not yet been announced. In China, the car costs converted to $35,000.
