With the new joint venture, TotalEnergies and Air Liquide envisioned the further development of a network of hydrogen refueling stations for trucks on major European thoroughfares. The more than 100 new hydrogen stations will be located on major European thoroughfares in France, Benelux and Germany. TotalEnergies and Air Liquide are looking at strategic routes in this regard. The hydrogen fueling station will be named TotalEnergies.

Pooling knowledge

TotalEnergies contributes with its expertise in operating and managing gas stations and distributing energy to BtoB customers. Air Liquide contributes with its technological expertise and control of the entire hydrogen chain. The joint venture will also purchase hydrogen on the market and distribute it to its customers in the transportation sector.

Establishment of joint venture

The two partners expect to complete the establishment of the joint venture in 2023, subject to the timely completion of the necessary contractual documents and receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals.
