Es klingt ein wenig seltsam: etwas aufzugeben, das sich gut verkauft. Aber laut BMW M Chef Frank van Meel macht es tats\u00e4chlich Sinn. Im Gespr\u00e4ch mit BMW Blog<\/em> sagte er: „Mehr als achtzig Prozent unserer Kunden haben sich sofort f\u00fcr den Competition entschieden. Also haben wir uns gedacht: Warum nicht einfach serienm\u00e4\u00dfig? Kurz gesagt: Jedes neue BMW M Modell wird von nun an ein Competition sein, aber der Name und das Logo werden verschwinden. K\u00fcnftige M Modelle erhalten also serienm\u00e4\u00dfig die Leistung, die Sch\u00e4rfe, den Sound und das sportliche Fahrwerk der fr\u00fcheren Competition Modelle. <\/p>\n

Klar<\/h2>\n

Mit diesem Schritt will BMW M die Modellpalette vereinfachen. Statt aller m\u00f6glichen Varianten wird es bald nur noch drei Geschmacksrichtungen zur Auswahl geben: M, CS und CSL. Der regul\u00e4re M erh\u00e4lt die Leistung des alten Competition, w\u00e4hrend der CS und der CSL mehr auf Gewichtsreduzierung und auf die Rennstrecke ausgerichtet sind. Einige Modelle – wie der M3, M4 und X5 M – werden noch eine Weile als Competition erh\u00e4ltlich sein. Aber neue Modelle wie der M2<\/a> und der M5 werden ohne diese Plakette auskommen. <\/p>\n
