Bislang war der Century ein Premium-Modell von Toyota, vor kurzem wurde er zu einer Modellfamilie und jetzt zu einer eigenst\u00e4ndigen Luxusmarke umbenannt. &#8222;Aber Moment mal&#8220;, h\u00f6re ich Sie denken, &#8222;war das nicht vorher Lexus?&#8220; Stimmt, aber Lexus zielt haupts\u00e4chlich auf Marken wie BMW, Audi und Mercedes-Benz ab. Century hingegen geht noch einen Schritt weiter. Es ist die japanische Antwort auf Rolls-Royce, Bentley und Maybach.     <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/CENTURY_001-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211642\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sechzig Schichten<\/h2>\n<p>Der Century ist in Japan seit Jahrzehnten ein Prestigesymbol, ein Auto, in dem japanische Kaiser, Premierminister und Industriekapit\u00e4ne transportiert werden. Seit 2023 gibt es auch einen <a href=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/toyotas-century-suv\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Century SUV<\/a>, aber jetzt geht Toyota mit einem Coup\u00e9 noch einen Schritt weiter. Das Modell sieht aus wie ein Flie\u00dfheck mit imposanten Proportionen, einer unendlich langen Motorhaube und einer Karosserie, die laut Toyota aus mehr als sechzig Schichten orangefarbener Farbe besteht &#8211; japanische Handwerkskunst in Reinkultur.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/toyota-century-coupe-concept-3-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211643\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nur drei St\u00fchle<\/h2>\n<p>Innen ist der Innenraum mindestens genauso speziell. Das Century Coup\u00e9 hat nur drei Sitze: einen vorne und zwei hinten. Der Beifahrersitz entf\u00e4llt, um den Einstieg in den Fond noch einfacher zu machen &#8211; ein subtiler Hinweis darauf, dass dieses Auto f\u00fcr diejenigen gedacht ist, die gefahren werden wollen, nicht unbedingt f\u00fcr diejenigen, die selbst fahren. Vermutlich wird es ein elektrifizierter Antriebsstrang sein, m\u00f6glicherweise eine Variante des Plug-in-Hybrid-V6 aus dem Century SUV. Ein V12-Comeback scheint ausgeschlossen zu sein. Laut Akio Toyoda, Pr\u00e4sident von Toyota, soll der neue Century &#8222;den Geist und den Stolz Japans in die Welt tragen&#8220;. Das Coup\u00e9 ist also nicht einfach ein weiteres Auto, sondern ein Statement.
