Ein Ort, der noch spezieller ist, als er auf den ersten Blick scheint. Derzeit sind in den Niederlanden nur drei Pontiac Sunfires zugelassen. Bei einem davon handelt es sich laut RDW um ein &#8218;gr\u00fcnes&#8216; Coup\u00e9, d.h. in der gleichen Farbe wie die gerade gesichtete Limousine. Es gibt auch einen roten Wagen, dessen Karosserieform &#8217;nicht registriert&#8216; ist. Vor Jahren hat meine Wenigkeit einmal ein rotes Sunfire Coup\u00e9 gesichtet. Man k\u00f6nnte dieses Modell als einen erheblich modifizierten Vauxhall Ascona betrachten. Der Sunfire basierte immer noch auf dieser technischen Plattform, wurde aber in mehrfacher Hinsicht modifiziert, um modernen Sicherheitsanforderungen zu entsprechen. Au\u00dferdem wurde das schlanke Design seines Vorg\u00e4ngers gegen ein sehr rundes Design ausgetauscht.   <\/p>\n<p>Auch hier gab es den Wagen als Limousine, Coup\u00e9 und Cabrio. Der Kombi wurde gestrichen. Das Getriebe war je nach Motorvariante und Version ein F\u00fcnfgang-Schaltgetriebe oder eine veraltete Dreigang-Automatik. Letztere wurde nur ein Jahr nach der Einf\u00fchrung durch ein moderneres Vierganggetriebe ersetzt.   Der Antrieb erfolgte immer \u00fcber die Vorderr\u00e4der.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Zwei Facelifts f\u00fcr den Pontiac Sunfire<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Der Pontiac Sunfire erfuhr zwei Facelifts. F\u00fcr das Modelljahr 2000 wurden vor allem die Sto\u00dfstangen verdickt (und das Cabrio wurde gestrichen). F\u00fcr das Modelljahr 2003 wurden die Front- und Heckpartie fast vollst\u00e4ndig neu gestaltet, um ein moderneres Aussehen zu erzielen.
