Chapman beauftragte den Team-Lotus-Designer Geoff Ferris, das Projekt Type 66 ins Leben zu rufen, um herauszufinden, wie sich die Konstruktionsprinzipien von Lotus auf diese aufregende Rennklasse anwenden lassen.  <\/p>\n<p>Da sich Chapman jedoch in erster Linie auf die Formel 1 konzentrierte, kam das innovative Can-Am-Projekt nie \u00fcber technische Zeichnungen und ma\u00dfstabsgetreue Modelle hinaus. Nicht weniger als 53 Jahre nach den ersten Entw\u00fcrfen erwacht der Typ 66 zum Leben. Der Lotus Type 66 wurde im Jahr des 75-j\u00e4hrigen Jubil\u00e4ums von Lotus entwickelt. Nur zehn Exemplare erblicken das Licht der Welt, alle ausgestattet mit einem Lotus-V8-Motor. Das Preisschild? Jeweils mehr als 1 Million Pfund.<\/p>\n<h2>Historische Farben<\/h2>\n<p>Der Wagen feierte sein Deb\u00fct in historisch korrekten Farben: in Anlehnung an die Farben Rot, Wei\u00df und Gold, in denen Lotus in den fr\u00fchen 1970er Jahren Rennen fuhr. Unter anderem fuhr auch der Lotus Type 72 F1 in den gleichen Farben. Der V8-Mittelmotor leistet mehr als 830 PS bei 8.800 U\/min. Das Drehmoment betr\u00e4gt 746 Nm bei 7.400 U\/min.<\/p>\n<div class=\"galery galery-0\">\n<figure>\n\t\t\t\t\t<span style=\"cursor: pointer\"
