Als drei- oder f\u00fcnft\u00fcriges Flie\u00dfheck, als zwei- oder viert\u00fcriges Fastback und als f\u00fcnft\u00fcriger Kombi. Der Passat trat die Nachfolge von Typ 3, Typ 4 und K70 an und bot damit Volkswagen erstmals seit langem wieder ein wirklich neues Familienauto.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Passat ist ein Modell, das seit langem Teil der Volkswagen Modellpalette ist. Der Passat trat die Nachfolge von Typ 3, Typ 4 und K70 an und bot damit Volkswagen erstmals seit langem wieder ein wirklich neues Familienauto.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Varianten<\/strong><br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aufgeteilt auf acht offizielle Modellgenerationen (einige gro\u00dfe Facelifts wurden offiziell als neue Generation angesehen) hat sich der Passat vom Familienauto zunehmend zu einer Business-Limousine oder einem Kombi entwickelt. Auch die Anzahl der Karosserievarianten \u00e4nderte sich. Mit der Generation B2 kam eine traditionelle Limousinenversion hinzu. Mit dem Erscheinen der B3-Generation im Jahr 1988 wurde die Liftback-Variante eingestellt, danach blieben lange nur Limousine und Kombi \u00fcbrig. Das \u00e4nderte sich 2008, als der eng verwandte Passat CC auf den Markt kam.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Pr\u00e4mie?<\/strong><br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die aktuelle Generation erschien 2015. Nachdem der CC als eigenst\u00e4ndiges Modell positioniert wurde (und mittlerweile vom Arteon abgel\u00f6st wurde), ist der Passat wieder nur noch als Limousine und Kombi erh\u00e4ltlich. Mit dem aktuellen Modell wandelt sich der Passat mehr denn je vom Familienauto zum Gesch\u00e4ftsauto, aber laut Volkswagen ist der Passat \u201eein Premiumauto ohne Premiumpreis\u201c. 2019 wurde der Passat einem Facelift unterzogen und das ist das Modell, das jetzt in den Ausstellungsr\u00e4umen steht.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Passat NMS<\/strong><br\/><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seit der ersten Generation wird der Passat auch in die USA ausgeliefert. 2011 \u00e4nderte sich dies etwas. In Nordamerika (und China, der Vollst\u00e4ndigkeit halber) lieferte Volkswagen nun ein eigenes marktspezifisches Modell aus, das intern als Passat NMS (New Midsize Sedan) bezeichnet wird. Dieser Passat ist nur als Limousine erh\u00e4ltlich und gr\u00f6\u00dfer als das europ\u00e4ische \u201eweltweite\u201c Modell.
